Sarah Nasser

Sarah, an Associate at Dunphy Best Blocksom, brings a rich international background to her practice in family law and real estate. Having graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce, she ventured to Australia, where she earned her Juris Doctor from Bond University with honors. Following her studies, Sarah served as a Special Advisor to a Federal Cabinet Minister in Ottawa before joining Dunphy Best Blocksom in 2017.

In her role, Sarah passionately advocates for her clients in Alberta's courts, handling a spectrum of family law matters such as property division, support, parenting/access, and adoption. She recognizes that litigation is just one avenue for dispute resolution and strives to resolve matters efficiently and cost-effectively, often through negotiation and alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation.

Beyond her legal career, Sarah finds fulfillment in giving back to the community, particularly in supporting refugee aid organizations. Her dedication extends to assisting parties in fulfilling the court-mandated requirement for family law alternative dispute resolution, recognizing the importance of mitigating the impact of parenting conflicts and family violence on children and their development.

Called to the bar in Alberta in 2018, Sarah is an active member of the Calgary Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association, and Law Society of Alberta.
