Denise Whiteley

Denise's journey at the firm began in 1998 as an Associate, and by 2005, she had risen to the position of Partner. Her legal practice centers on banking and litigation, particularly in foreclosure law.

Representing Canadian Chartered Banks, mortgage and trust companies, and private lenders, Denise specializes in enforcing mortgage and unsecured debt products. She has managed numerous cases involving residential mortgage enforcement and other securities.

With a robust courtroom presence, Denise has appeared before various courts, including the Alberta Court of Appeal, Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, and Alberta Provincial Court, as well as the Tax Court of Canada. She is well-versed in mediation and arbitration procedures.

Denise is an active member of the Foreclosure Section of the Canadian Bar Association in Calgary. She has shared her expertise at various seminars, representing organizations like the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA) and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA).

Outside of her legal endeavors, Denise finds joy in family time with her husband and two teenaged children. She dedicates her free time to volunteering for her son’s hockey community, exploring new travel destinations, and indulging in the occasional round of golf.
