Tyler Derksen

Having joined WBA in 2013 as an associate, Tyler brought with him a wealth of experience gained from years of practicing law with a large international firm. Fast forward to 2017, and Tyler proudly became a partner at WBA.

Specializing primarily in civil litigation and employment law, Tyler focuses on resolving contractual disputes, handling cases involving fraud and debt recovery, navigating builders’ liens issues, and representing clients in employment litigation matters.

Tyler's courtroom prowess is well-known, having appeared before the Alberta Court of Appeal, Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Alberta Provincial Court. His expertise extends beyond traditional litigation, as he boasts substantial experience in arbitrations, mediations, and Judicial Dispute Resolutions.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Tyler finds joy in his personal life. He is happily married and cherishes the time spent with his young daughter and son. In his downtime, Tyler indulges in his love for literature, particularly fantasy and comic books. He also enjoys unwinding with video games and savoring rare scotch, appreciating the finer things in life.
