Ronke Omorodion

At the helm of our Calgary office stands Ronke Omorodion, a legal luminary with a dual license and a wealth of experience. Ronke's journey in law began in Nigeria, where she earned her first law degree from the University of Ilorin in 2009 and secured licensure from the Nigerian Law School in 2010.

Her path eventually led her to Canada, where she embarked on a new chapter in her legal career. After completing her articles with us at Donna Purcell QC Law, Ronke was called to the Alberta Bar in 2021, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey.

Before making the move to Canada in 2018, Ronke cultivated a reputation as the "entrepreneur's lawyer" in Nigeria. Known for her ability to distill complex legal matters into simple, actionable solutions, she provided invaluable support to entrepreneurs and small businesses navigating the intricacies of Nigerian law.

In her diverse legal practice, Ronke covered a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial services, including Wills and Estate and Real Estate Transactions. Her expertise and innovative approach earned her recognition as a trusted advisor among her clients.

Beyond her legal practice, Ronke is deeply engaged in the legal community. She actively contributes to the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association as the Geographic District Representative for Central Alberta and serves on their seminar committee. Additionally, she volunteers her time as a section executive in the CBA's Research Lawyers section and as a peer support volunteer with the Alberta Lawyers' Assistance Society (ASSIST).

Apart from her professional pursuits, Ronke finds joy in spending quality time with her family. Whether it's going for leisurely walks with her husband and son or indulging in her love for crime movies, Ronke cherishes every moment outside the office. And when it's time for some friendly competition, you'll often find her engrossed in a game of Monopoly or Scrabble with loved ones.
