Blair Mahon

Blair's journey with Maurice Law commenced when he stepped in as an articling student in December 2019. Armed with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours 1st Class) from Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia, Blair brings a unique blend of personal, academic, and professional experiences to the table.

Before delving into the legal realm, Blair ventured into the world of community infrastructure projects, collaborating with a 100% First Nation-owned construction company in Treaty 6 Territory. His contributions were instrumental in the successful completion of key initiatives like the OLCN Phase IV Water Distribution Network, Moosomin-Saulteaux Lagoon, and SPS Upgrades Project, and the Points North Fiber Optic Project.

Throughout his tenure at law school, Blair's academic pursuits honed in on banking and finance, tax, planning and development, and commercial legal practice. He distinguished himself by clinching Top of Class honors in Contracts, Banking and Finance Law, and Legal Ethics. Additionally, he interned at a prominent real estate and development firm in the Gold Coast, gaining invaluable insights into the industry.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, Blair undertook an honours thesis that delved into the intricate realm of Aboriginal taxation powers and associated constitutional issues, particularly within the framework of the Westbank First Nation Self-Government Agreement.

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for community development, Blair is poised to make significant contributions in the legal landscape, championing the rights and interests of First Nation clients.
