Gordon Cormie

Having been admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1973, Gord embarked on a remarkable legal journey. He honed his expertise in corporate, commercial, resource, and energy law through stints at prestigious firms in Calgary.

At DLBH LLP, now known as DBH Law, Gord rose to partner status, leveraging his profound knowledge to negotiate intricate transactions involving resource and energy assets across the globe. His prowess extends to corporate restructurings, ensuring smooth transitions for businesses.

Beyond transactional work, Gord is deeply involved in estate planning, guiding clients through the complexities of wills, trusts, and family trusts in both Canadian and American jurisdictions.

As a testament to his industry acumen, Gord has served as a director and officer for numerous energy companies, contributing to the formulation of robust corporate strategies and facilitating capital raising endeavors.

Although he stepped down as a partner in February 2016, Gord's expertise remains integral to DBH Law as he rejoined the firm as Counsel in February 2017.

Gord's legal journey commenced with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta in 1967, followed by a Bachelor of Laws in 1972 from the same institution.
