Kent Hehr

Kent, a true community advocate, dedicates himself to enhancing the lives of Canadians nationwide. Raised in Calgary, his genuine, direct approach resonates with constituents and clients, fostering trust and exceeding expectations.

At Goodfellow & Schuettlaw, Kent serves as a strategic advisor, offering invaluable insight into general litigation, employment law, real estate, and personal injury cases. His extensive experience in both provincial and federal government spheres equips him with a profound understanding of the legal and political landscape.

Formerly Calgary Centre's Member of Parliament and a cabinet Minister, Kent navigated complex issues as Minister of Sport, Persons with Disabilities, and Veterans Affairs. Prior, he served two terms as Calgary-Buffalo's Member of the Legislative Assembly.

Before his political tenure, Kent practiced law at Fraser Milner Casgrain, now Dentons LLP, and contributed to several Calgary-based nonprofit boards, including Between Friends and the United Way.

Passionate about supporting families and children facing disabilities, Kent actively serves on the boards of Cerebral Palsy Alberta and the Children’s Link Society. Family-oriented, he takes pride in cheering on his nephews and nieces at school events and sports competitions across Calgary alongside his wife, Deanna Holt.
