Russell Patterson

Transitioning from an articling student to an associate, Russell collaborates with various valued clients. He appears in courts at all levels, litigating diverse areas including estate, employment, shareholder, corporate, municipal, and construction law.

Russell prioritizes ensuring clients grasp the case's process, costs, emotional impact, and potential outcomes beforehand. Once engaged, he contributes promptly to the legal discourse. He's practical and persistent, focusing on client needs and providing comprehensive updates.

Moreover, Russell serves as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Continuing Education. Since 2016, he's been actively involved in teaching Construction Contract Law and Documents, a course previously led by our founder, Bob Schuett. The course attracts professionals from the local construction industry seeking valuable insights.

Beyond his legal endeavors, Russell enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and skiing in the mountains during weekends. He also engages in sports like squash, recreational soccer, and ultimate frisbee. As a soccer coach at the Dalhousie Community Association, he shares his passion for the sport with his three daughters.

A former teacher with a fervor for bilingual education, Russell plans to enroll his children in Spanish Immersion schools to instill a love for language and culture.
