Elizabeth Aspinall

Elizabeth Aspinall, the associate general counsel at her firm, plays a pivotal role. She partners with the general counsel, offering guidance on the firm's operations across various practice areas. Before her current role, Elizabeth was deeply involved with the Law Society of Alberta. There, as a practice advisor, she was a beacon of support for Alberta lawyers, addressing a plethora of practice issues, including ethical dilemmas and trust fund management. From 2017 to 2021, she further contributed as the Equity Ombudsperson at the LSA, championing equity initiatives.

Elizabeth's journey into law began after her tenure at a litigation boutique, where her expertise spanned privacy, administrative law, employment, professional regulation, and estate litigation. Notably, her skills have been showcased at every judicial level in Alberta, various tribunals, and even the Supreme Court of Canada.

Her academic path is equally impressive, with a foundation laid at the University of Calgary. Elizabeth's academic journey there included earning a BSc in 1992, a BA in 1995 (making the Dean's List), an MA in 1998, and finally, an LL.B in 2001. She was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2002, marking the start of her distinguished legal career.
