Jonathan Warren

Jonathan, a founding partner at Warren Kachur Osadetz LLP, leads a thriving legal practice encompassing commercial banking, real estate development, and both commercial and residential real estate. He is highly regarded for his representation of chartered banks and private lenders in commercial financing transactions, as well as his counsel to real estate developers on a range of projects spanning multi-family, residential, and commercial developments.

Beyond his involvement in banking and real estate, Jonathan plays a pivotal role in corporate and commercial matters. He guides clients through corporate reorganizations, acquisitions, divestitures, commercial leasing negotiations, and an array of contractual arrangements including joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and partnerships.

Moreover, Jonathan's expertise extends to estate planning and administration, where he offers invaluable advice to individuals seeking to navigate the complexities of wills and estates. His dedication to continuous learning is evident in his completion of the CICA in-depth goods and services tax course in 2002, which has broadened his capabilities in tax planning and corporate structures.

In his legal practice, Jonathan has demonstrated his advocacy skills by appearing before various courts, including the Court of Appeal of Alberta, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court Trial Division.

Born and raised in Calgary, Jonathan is deeply rooted in his community. He is a devoted husband and father of two, with a passion for supporting his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys exploring new destinations through travel and cherishing quality time with his family.

Jonathan's academic background includes a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta in 1999 and a Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary in 1996. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta since his admission in 2000 and actively participates in professional organizations such as the Canadian Bar Association and the Calgary Bar Association.

Committed to giving back to his community, Jonathan serves as a board member for the Wentworth Residents Association and volunteers his time with organizations such as the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise to charitable initiatives like Face Off Against Cancer, where he served as a past board member.
