Mandeep Dhillon

Mandeep, a dedicated member of the Family Law and Litigation & Dispute Resolution groups, centers his legal expertise on personal injury cases. His legal education culminated in an LL.B with honors from the University of Birmingham in 2016, a journey marked by his commitment to the underserved through his volunteer work at the Street Law ProBono Clinic. Not only was he an advocate in the courtroom, but he also demonstrated leadership on the football field, both playing for and coaching the Birmingham Lions.

Before embarking on his legal path, Mandeep earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Calgary, grounding his understanding of the political frameworks that influence law. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Mandeep's personal life is as dynamic as his professional one, with interests that span traveling, various sports, and coaching, reflecting his commitment to an energetic lifestyle. His linguistic skills are notable too; he speaks Punjabi fluently and understands Hindi.

Mandeep's legal acumen is evident through his engagements with significant cases, particularly in the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Appeal, where he has been instrumental in a series of cases, notably Esfahani v Samimi, which has appeared before the courts multiple times across different years. These cases not only highlight his persistent involvement in the legal sphere but also underscore his growing expertise and contribution to the field.
