Stacey Haskins

Stacey's legal journey began in 2014 when she joined the Bar, specializing solely in family law. Before that, from 2010 to 2014, she immersed herself in family justice services, aiding individuals with family law concerns at the Calgary Courts Centre.

In Stacey's view, alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation and arbitration serve clients best. She strongly advocates for these approaches before resorting to court battles. However, she's equally adept at navigating the courtroom when needed.

Stacey's expertise covers a wide array of legal avenues, including family law, mediation, parenting coordination, and arbitration. Her versatility ensures that clients receive comprehensive support regardless of their legal needs.

Having earned her JD from the University of Calgary in 2013, Stacey pursued further education, obtaining a PhD and MASc in Environmental Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada. She also holds a BA in Psychology and a BScE in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University.

Stacey's commitment to the legal profession extends beyond her practice. She is an active member of various legal associations, including the Law Society of Alberta, Canadian Bar Association, and Calgary Bar Association. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Bar Association: Alberta Branch and holds leadership positions within the organization.

Outside her professional endeavors, Stacey engages in pro bono activities, such as volunteering at Calgary Legal Guidance ID Clinics and contributing to the National Family Law Negotiation Competition.

Stacey's dedication to her field is evident in her publications, where she explores complex legal topics. From dissecting judicial approaches to trust interests in family law proceedings to analyzing the intersection of pornography and parenting, Stacey's insights contribute significantly to legal discourse.
