Jose Delgado

In 2009, Jose embarked on his legal career in Alberta, having honed his skills and knowledge at the University of Alberta, where he completed his BA in 2007 and his LLB a year later. His legal journey is deeply rooted in Edmonton, his hometown, although his origins trace back to Nicaragua, a country whose language and culture he carries with him through fluency in Spanish. At Bishop & McKenzie, Jose has established himself as a key figure, dedicating his expertise to a wide array of legal challenges. His work spans assisting a diverse clientele, including individuals, professionals, businesses, and various boards, navigating through the complexities of shareholder disputes, insolvency, construction law, and condominium litigation.

Jose's commitment to the community is evident in his volunteer work with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, where he offers his legal services to those in need. Beyond his professional endeavors, Jose contributes to his community by coaching youth soccer, a testament to his belief in giving back and staying connected to his roots. Although he has retired from boxing, the discipline and strength he developed in the ring inform his approach to both his personal and professional life. His free time is filled with moments spent with family—siblings, nephews, and nieces—and immersing himself in books about history, science, and technology, reflecting a well-rounded individual who values knowledge and connection.
