Lorne's extensive portfolio includes:

- Serving as a Part-Time Hearing Commissioner for the Alberta Energy Regulator from 2013 to 2018, appointed by two Alberta Cabinets.

- Acting as legal advisor or Chief Negotiator for over 15 Alberta Treaty Land Entitlement Specific Claims and agreements.

- Playing pivotal roles in negotiating numerous Community Benefit Agreements in Alberta and Saskatchewan, including projects under the First Nation Commercial and Industrial Development Act.

- Acting as an envoy and dispute resolution facilitator for park occupations and road blockades.

- Serving as a First Nation election dispute arbitrator and legal advisor to the Government of Alberta Constitutional Round Table Talks.

Lorne's contributions have not gone unnoticed. He has received prestigious service awards from both federal and provincial governments, recognizing his outstanding achievements in various intergovernmental indigenous initiatives and legal matters.
