Robin Acworth

In the realm of legal services, Robin Acworth brings a wealth of expertise, particularly in construction and engineering, oil and gas, WTO and international trade, shipping, energy and infrastructure M&A, as well as renewables.

Specializing in the upstream and midstream energy sectors, including LNG and renewables, Robin's practice encompasses a diverse range of energy projects and transactions. With extensive experience both in Canada and internationally, he advises on the sale and purchase of LNG and other commodities, transportation, construction and utilization of terminals, power generation facilities, and various infrastructure projects.

Before transitioning to law, Robin began his career as an aeronautical engineer. He pursued legal studies in London, where he trained with a leading law firm. Robin subsequently practiced law in London and Singapore before settling in Calgary in 2018.

With a comprehensive educational background, including an LL.B. from The University of Law, a Graduate Diploma in Law, and an M.Eng. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol, Robin is well-equipped to navigate complex legal matters.

Admitted to the bar in Alberta in 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2010, Robin is an esteemed member of the legal community. His professional achievements include numerous accolades and recognitions, such as the firm's recent wins at the 2022 Canadian Law Awards and his involvement in significant client work, including Crescent Point Energy Corp.'s acquisition of Montney assets and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners' announcement regarding the construction of Travers Solar – Canada's Largest Solar Project.
