Rod Pacholzuk has deep roots in Penticton, where he grew up and played hockey for the Penticton Vees, his local team. His hockey journey took him all the way to the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in general studies, majoring in History and Accounting. In 1978, his skills on the ice caught the attention of the Washington Capitals, who selected him in the NHL Amateur Draft. However, Rod chose to take a different direction in life, deciding that academics were his true calling. He went on to study law at the University of Windsor and completed his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1984.

Rod’s legal career took off quickly, and by 1989 he had already become a partner at Berge & Company, a law firm that would eventually evolve into what we now know as FH&P Lawyers. In 2014, the firm rebranded, and the “P” in FH&P represents Rod's name, cementing his significant role in the firm’s history and growth.
