Alireza Alimadad

Alireza brings a diverse skill set to our team, contributing significantly to our Insurance, Labour + Employment, and Business Disputes Practice Groups.

His journey with Alexander Holburn began in May 2021 as a summer student, leading to a fruitful stint as an articling student, and eventually culminating in his current role as an associate.

Alireza's academic tenure at the University of Calgary was marked by notable achievements. He showcased his legal prowess in the Alberta Court of Appeal Moots, representing his university with distinction. Additionally, his leadership and decision-making skills were honed through his involvement in the University’s Appeals Committee and Tribunal. His participation in the Negotiations Club further developed his skill in tactful and strategic dialogue.

Before his association with Alexander Holburn, Alireza dedicated his efforts to Student Legal Assistance, a non-profit organization. There, he provided legal support to low-income residents of Calgary in various legal domains including criminal, civil, and family law. His role extended beyond direct legal service to mentoring new caseworkers, guiding them through the complexities of legal processes in the Provincial Court.

Alireza's educational background is as impressive as his legal one. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia, where he delved into Physiology and Immunology. During his undergraduate studies, he was actively involved in microbiology research, exploring various facets of this dynamic field.

When not immersed in legal work, Alireza has a passion for travel and culinary exploration. He has a particular fondness for sampling street food across different countries, embracing the diverse flavors and experiences each destination offers.
