Her courtroom prowess was notably displayed in the McCrory v. Komar case, where she served as co-counsel for the defense over a rigorous 13-day jury trial. This trial was marked by numerous interlocutory motions, such as challenges related to the non-presentation of expert witnesses, debates over the admissibility of hearsay in expert reports, inflammatory evidence considerations, and discussions on including mitigation issues in the jury instructions. The outcome was a jury verdict in favor of her client. Similarly, in Baker v. Surerus, Julia's strategic acumen contributed to a favorable settlement for her client during a 20-day jury trial.

Julia's legal foundation is solid, holding a JD from the University of Victoria (2013), complemented by a Bachelor of Education (2008) and a BA in Political Science and Japanese (2007), both from the University of British Columbia. Her legal acumen is recognized across multiple jurisdictions, with admissions to the Bar in British Columbia (2014), Yukon Territory (2021), and Saskatchewan (2023).
