Andrew Zacharias

Since joining the team in 2014, Andrew Zacharias has made a significant mark at KSW Lawyers' Abbotsford location, emerging as a leading litigator with a rich portfolio of legal battles and victories, both inside the courtroom and through negotiations. His expertise spans a wide array of sectors, including life and disability, property and fire cases, occupiers liability, estate litigation, and disputes over personal property. Beyond his prowess in litigation, Andrew plays a pivotal role in guiding the next generation of lawyers, providing mentorship to summer and articling students who seek to learn from the best at the firm.

Andrew's journey into law commenced with a foundation in philosophy, earning a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 2004, which was followed by a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 2008. His academic career was distinguished by notable achievements, such as winning an inter-school Client Counselling Competition and representing his university in the American Bar Association Client Counselling Competition. His outstanding grasp of professional responsibility was recognized with the Maritime Law Book Award for first place standing. Post-graduation, Andrew honed his courtroom skills serving as ad hoc counsel for the Federal Crown, where he gathered extensive trial experience.

Rooted in Chilliwack, Andrew's commitment extends beyond his legal practice. He actively participates in the local community through his membership in the Chilliwack Fraser Rotary Club, his role on the Board of Directors for the Chilliwack Hospice Society, and his involvement with the Fraser Valley Estate Planning Council.
