Chris Godwin is a rare breed of professional, merging the worlds of pharmacy and law with an impressive educational background that spans from the University of British Columbia to the prestigious University of Cambridge in England. Since 1987, he has been a fixture in the legal community, not only in British Columbia but also as a recognized Solicitor across England and Wales.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Godwin brings a pharmacist's precision to the courtroom, where he specializes in civil litigation. His legal acumen covers a broad spectrum, from contractual disputes and professional discipline to insolvency issues and personal injury cases. Godwin's versatility extends to representing clients in intellectual property conflicts, as well as navigating the complexities of Canadian immigration and citizenship appeals.

Godwin's roots in healthcare, specifically his time as a pharmacist at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, provide him with a unique perspective that he leverages in his legal practice. His journey through the legal ranks began at the Vancouver law firm Bull, Housser & Tupper, leading him to Baker Newby LLP where he became a partner before making the move to his current position in 2012.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Godwin is deeply embedded in the legal and pharmaceutical communities, holding memberships with several bar associations and the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. His international standing is underscored by his involvement with the Law Society of England and Wales and the Old Darwinian’s Society at the University of Cambridge.

Godwin's commitment to service is evident in his leadership roles with the Meadowridge School, Chilliwack Curling Club, and Black Mountain Ranch. Currently, he dedicates his time to the Human Research Ethics Board at the University of the Fraser Valley, showcasing his dedication to ethical standards in research.

Outside the office, Godwin's passions include a mix of sports and outdoor activities, from golf and kayaking to squash, curling, and cricket, reflecting a well-rounded personality that complements his professional expertise.
