Note to Janet: When your client is being sued for “rectification” of a separation agreement, it’s a good idea to find out first, what actually the other side is seeking to be rectified! Instead of launching yourself in to an unnecessary (and expensive to your client), campaign of discovery that was of no benefit to your client, did not answer the fundamental question of the lawsuit, namely what the other side was seeking to have rectified, but certainly lined your pockets with your clients hard earned money. As it turned out, the rectification the other side was seeking was not germane to the separation agreement at all and was, for the most part erroneous. A good lawyer could have had the claim dismissed in short order, but then again, you’re not a good lawyer, I trusted you and you cost me my home, $96,500 I never recovered from my "X" and almost everything else. But you made sure you were paid!
F you Janet Clark
