Aleksandra Mihailovic

In 2016, Aleksandra Mihailovic became a part of the team at Kane, Shannon & Weiler, marking a significant milestone in her legal career. Her journey into law began after earning a BA in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, followed by an LLB from the University of Windsor. Since her admission to the bar in 2008, Aleksandra has dedicated herself to the field of civil litigation.

Before embarking on her legal education, Aleksandra's commitment to serving the community was evident through her roles at Crown Victim Services and as a coordinator for the Burnaby RCMP Victim Services. These positions laid the groundwork for her understanding of the justice system's impact on individuals. Her post-law school career saw her taking on the role of an Arbitrator at the Residential Tenancy Office in Burnaby, where she adjudicated landlord-tenant disputes, crafting resolutions to complex issues.

Aleksandra's legal practice is broad, focusing on general litigation while specializing in insurance defense and family law. Her expertise has led her to represent clients in various legal forums, from the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of British Columbia to the Small Claims Court. Her legal acumen extends to interlocutory and chambers applications, trials, and judicial review hearings. Moreover, Aleksandra has engaged in legal proceedings before several administrative bodies, including the British Columbia Residential Tenancy Branch and the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, showcasing her versatile legal skills.
