Dan has carved out a niche in the legal field with his focus on corporate matters and tax-driven reorganizations, skillfully navigating both Canadian and international terrains. Before embarking on his legal career, Dan amassed over a decade of valuable experience in Canadian and American tax compliance, foreign asset reporting, cross-border consulting, as well as handling CRA audits and appeals. This pre-law background not only enriches his understanding of tax law but also provides a solid foundation for his legal practice.

Dan is also an entrepreneur at heart, having pioneered a new snow sport known as HangBoard. This innovative venture merges the thrill of snowboarding, hang gliding, and mountain biking into a singular sporting experience, showcasing his talents in product engineering, testing, design, and even media and investor relations. Alongside his legal career, he co-owns a tax preparation and consulting business, further demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit.

His academic journey is equally impressive, with undergraduate work that involved working with serious and violent youth offenders. His research in this area was published in the American Journal of Aggression and Violent Behaviour, highlighting his commitment to understanding complex human behaviors. Dan is also trained in client-centered therapy and transcendental meditation, underscoring his holistic approach to both life and law.

Dan was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2019, following his Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia in 2018, where he also completed his Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology, making the Dean’s List in 2011. His membership in the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Animal Law Study Group further illustrates his diverse interests and commitment to continuous learning and advocacy within his fields of expertise.
