Hamish Gray

Hamish recently became a key addition to Harper Grey's Business Law and Real Estate Teams, bringing his expertise to bear on a wide array of real estate matters. His work spans the gamut of development projects, property buying and selling, arranging leases, and securing financing options for clients. Before his current role, he honed his skills at a specialized law firm located in Vancouver, where he concentrated on similar legal challenges.

Living on the North Shore has instilled in Hamish a profound appreciation for nature. He dedicates his summers to treks and camping adventures, while the winter season sees him hitting the ski slopes. A family man at heart, Hamish is a devoted father and enjoys taking his two dogs, Roger the French Bulldog and Kenji the Shiba Inu, for explorations along the local pathways.

Hamish's commitment to his community is evident through his co-founding and organization of a fundraising initiative for the BC Cancer Foundation, successfully gathering over $90,000 for cancer research. Moreover, his altruistic efforts extend to providing volunteer advisory services through Life In Law.

His academic journey took him from the University of Victoria, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2014, to the University of Calgary, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 2020. Following this, he was admitted to the British Columbia bar in 2021, marking the commencement of his legal career in earnest.

Demonstrating leadership and dedication to his field, Hamish volunteered at the BLG Business Venture Clinic and the Calgary Student Legal Assistance Program during his studies. These experiences underscore his commitment to both his personal growth and the provision of legal assistance to those in need.

As a member of The Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association's BC Branch, Hamish is well-regarded among his peers. His professional journey is characterized by a broad engagement with corporate and commercial law, with a particular emphasis on commercial real estate. This includes facilitating the establishment of new corporate entities, advising on land acquisition for development, crafting partnership agreements, and navigating the complexities of commercial financing. Hamish's adeptness at negotiating and drafting commercial leases for a variety of properties, as well as managing the sale and purchase of business assets, further showcases his versatility and depth of knowledge in the field.
