Malcolm B. Funt, an accomplished commercial litigator, spearheads a diverse array of legal cases with a focus that spans all levels of the court system in British Columbia and the Federal Court of Canada. Renowned for his nuanced handling of cases that involve allegations of fraud and breaches of fiduciary duties, Malcolm has become a trusted advocate for both franchisors and franchisees embroiled in franchise disputes. His legal acumen is further demonstrated by his significant involvement in eight trials since 2017, accumulating over 130 days of trial experience in the BC Supreme Court. Malcolm's proficiency extends to the appellate level, with numerous appearances at the BC Court of Appeal. Moreover, his skill in negotiating settlement agreements through mediation has been a hallmark of his out-of-court successes.
