Djuna embarked on her journey with Harper Grey LLP in 2011, initially joining the team as an articling student. Her early career was marked by her role as a litigator, where she adeptly handled cases within the realms of health and insurance law. Her expertise saw her confidently navigating the courtroom, presenting cases across all judicial levels in British Columbia.

Within the sphere of insurance law, Djuna has demonstrated a keen ability to navigate the intricacies of insurance coverage. Her work includes crafting detailed coverage opinions, composing policy documents, and defending coverage disputes. She plays a pivotal role in supporting seasoned attorneys through the complexities of broad insurance litigation. When it comes to health law, Djuna collaborates with experienced legal professionals to safeguard the interests of physicians facing both civil and administrative challenges.

Before her legal aspirations brought her back to Vancouver, Djuna's upbringing on Quadra Island shaped her early life. Her academic journey led her to the University of British Columbia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Psychology followed by a Juris Doctor degree. Djuna's law school experience was enriched by her participation in the Peter Burns Moot and an enriching semester at the University of Hong Kong. Her passion for science prompted a brief departure from Harper Grey LLP, during which she pursued further education in genetics, along with a degree in microbiology and immunology.

Djuna's commitment extends beyond her professional endeavors; she is deeply invested in her community. Her volunteer work spans several organizations, including the Vancouver Women’s Shelter, Hoop-Law, and the Vancouver General Hospital, showcasing her dedication to giving back.

Her academic accolades include degrees from the University of British Columbia, where she completed her education in law (J.D., 2011) and science (B.Sc., 2008). Djuna’s legal acumen is further recognized through her admission to the British Columbia Bar in 2012 and her active membership in the Canadian Bar Association and the Hoop-Law Society. Through her diverse expertise in insurance and health law, Djuna continues to make a significant impact in her field.
