Steven's experience in defense work is comprehensive and diverse. He has successfully represented a chimney sweep in a high-stakes trial, defending against allegations of negligence that purportedly led to a house fire. His defense repertoire includes representing contractors accused of negligence and contract breaches in construction projects, as well as defending homeowners, business proprietors, and commercial property owners against bodily injury claims. Steven has also defended independent adjusters and mortgage brokers against errors and omissions claims related to the adjusting of insured losses and disputes following mortgage losses, respectively. His defense efforts extend to warranty claims under the Homeowners Protection Act and claims against insurers by mortgagees seeking payment under the Standard Mortgage Clause.
