Angelika Erickson

Since her start at Whitelaw Twining in 2014, Angelika has brought a rich background of defending both corporate and individual clients across various legal battlegrounds. This includes not just the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, but also in mediations, settlement conferences, and before several administrative tribunals. Her legal expertise, however, doesn't stop there. Angelika has carved out a niche for herself in employment law, skillfully navigating clients through the intricacies of employment agreements and policies. Her adeptness at resolving employment disputes, whether through negotiation or litigation, is noteworthy.

Angelika's legal prowess also extends to general insurance litigation. Here, she handles a broad spectrum of cases, ranging from personal injury and property damage to more specialized areas like subrogated claims and issues involving trucking, transportation, and road maintenance.

Before embarking on her legal career, Angelika was an entrepreneur at heart, running a successful web design business. Her passion for law led her back to academia, where she not only pursued her legal studies at the University of British Columbia, earning both her B.A. and J.D., but also actively contributed to the legal community. She volunteered extensively with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, a student-run initiative providing legal aid. Her involvement was profound, serving as a clinic head, offering direct assistance to clients, and guiding the program as its Executive Director while sitting on the Society’s Board of Directors.

Angelika's commitment to her profession is evident not just in her legal practice but also in her educational contributions, serving as an adjunct instructor at Vancouver Community College. Her expertise spans several areas including abuse litigation, cannabis law, employment and insurance issues, road maintenance, and transportation.
