Gavin Clark

Gavin embarked on his professional journey with Whitelaw Twining back in 2017, initially stepping in as a Summer Articling Student before officially earning his place at the Bar by 2019. His early legal forays covered a broad spectrum, delving into general insurance litigation that encompassed property damages, efforts in subrogation and recovery, alongside cases of bodily injury.

However, in a significant career pivot in 2021, Gavin ventured away from legal practice to embrace the role of President and Corporate Secretary within a pioneering Canadian tech enterprise. This position saw him at the helm of the company's operational strategies, spearheading departmental supervision, crafting and clinching key strategic alliances, along with steering the financial and investment facets of the business, not to mention the crucial task of capital fundraising.

2023 marked Gavin's strategic return to Whitelaw Twining, where he aimed to meld his rich business acumen with his foundational legal expertise. His practice now spans a diverse range of sectors, including corporate commercial ventures, construction, subrogation and recovery, defamation, and regulatory issues, showcasing a dynamic integration of his multifaceted experiences.

Beyond the confines of his professional life, Gavin is passionately committed to skiing and snowboarding, often found carving down the slopes of Whistler Blackcomb. When not indulging in winter sports, he explores British Columbia's scenic trails with his wife and their dog, Franklin, embodying his love for the outdoors.

His academic background is as varied as his career, with a JD from the University of Calgary secured in 2018, preceded by a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Victoria in 2014. Professionally, Gavin is recognized by his peers, evidenced by his membership in the Vancouver Bar Association following his admission to the British Columbia Bar in 2019.
