Jacqueline Wilmott

Jacqueline's professional journey in law spans continents and specialties, having honed her expertise in corporate and securities law. Her practice areas are diverse, covering mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and a broad spectrum of business and commercial law. She navigates clients through the intricacies of both domestic and international deals, offering guidance on public and private acquisitions, divestitures, financing ventures, and corporate restructuring. Her advisory role extends to crafting complex commercial agreements and navigating securities regulations, alongside conducting reviews for private equity funds.

Before her legal career took her to Canada, Jacqueline laid her professional foundations in Australia, where she earned her law degree and initially practiced in Sydney at a well-regarded national firm. Her transition to Canada marked a significant milestone, as she was admitted to the British Columbia bar in 2019 following her articling period with Lawson Lundell.

Outside the office, Jacqueline leads an active lifestyle, embracing cycling, swimming, and skiing. Her engagement with the legal community is reflected in her memberships with the Law Societies of Alberta and British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association's BC branch, and her active participation in the Canada, Australia & New Zealand Business Association. She further commits to her professional development as a mentee in the 2023 British Columbia Mentorship Program organized by the Association for Corporate Growth.

Jacqueline's commitment to societal contribution shines through her volunteer work, notably participating in the JDRF's SunLife Ride to Defeat Diabetes in Vancouver in 2019. Her legal admissions include the bars of British Columbia and Alberta in Canada, and though currently inactive, New South Wales, Australia, where her legal journey began. Her academic credentials were obtained from The Australian National University, where she completed both her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in 2014.
