Murray Campbell

Murray leads Western Canada's premier Pensions and Benefits Law Group, holding the reins since 1994 with a sole focus on pensions and benefits. He is the go-to legal expert for trustees and plan sponsors across British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, catering to both public and private sectors. Murray's expertise shines in guiding the overhaul and updating of pension and benefits schemes, alongside their governing frameworks. His pivotal role in ushering joint trusteeship into public sector pension plans across three provinces marks a significant milestone in his career. Currently, he represents over a dozen joint boards of trustees for public sector pension and benefit plans. His recent endeavors include aiding clients in adapting to new employee life and health trust regulations, as well as navigating the complexities introduced by Bill C-30 for SMEPs.

Not just confined to advisory roles, Murray brings a strategic edge to pension and benefit litigation, offering both direction and technical support. His contributions to the field extend beyond client service; he's been at the forefront of the Pension and Benefits Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association in British Columbia, taking the chair twice, and maintains active membership in several international pension and employee benefits organizations. His commitment to community and professional growth is evident through his coaching role in the Forest Hills Little League and his board membership in the Lawyers Assistance Program of BC.
