Jamie Templeton stands as the co-leader of the Projects & Infrastructure Group at Stikeman Elliott, where his expertise spans the full spectrum of infrastructure investment, including mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and banking. Since embarking on his legal career in 2001, Templeton has played a pivotal role in guiding significant infrastructure ventures across Europe, Australia, and Canada, with a particular focus on project financing and mergers and acquisitions within the infrastructure, energy, renewables, and resources sectors.

In his professional journey, Templeton has aligned himself with the Canadian Bar Association, contributing his insights and expertise, and formerly engaged with the Law Society of Scotland, reflecting his diverse legal background. Before his tenure in Canada, he offered his legal acumen in Scotland and Australia, where he became known for his adept handling of public-private partnership (PPP) projects. His counsel is frequently sought by procuring authorities, sponsors, funders, as well as lenders and borrowers in complex loan financings and secured transactions, showcasing his versatility across various aspects of law.

Templeton's legal foundation was laid at the University of Glasgow, where he completed his LL.B. in 1996 and furthered his studies with a postgraduate degree in law in 1999. His educational journey took another significant step forward in 2010 when he achieved a National Committee on Accreditation Certificate, marking his qualifications as equivalent to a Canadian LL.B.
