Joshua Sved

Josh's expertise in business law, particularly within the technology sphere, empowers him to offer comprehensive legal guidance to firms at various stages of growth across diverse sectors. His practice is dynamic, encompassing essential business legalities such as company formation, corporate structuring, governance, finance maneuvers, transactions involving buying and selling, mergers, acquisitions, and the crafting of commercial contracts.

Before his legal career, Josh ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding a startup. This journey furnished him with firsthand experience of the hurdles small businesses encounter, both operationally and legally, nurturing his zeal to facilitate their expansion and triumph.

His legal acumen extends to working with clients like FansUnite Entertainment, assisting in a significant acquisition worth US$58 million, and Eldridge, leading a notable investment of CAD$250m into Viral Nation with others. He has also advised Numinus Wellness Inc. on its strategic acquisition and assisted Wamame Foods Inc. through its initial funding phase, among other notable transactions.

Josh's legal education was completed at the University of British Columbia, where he earned his J.D. in 2019, following an HBA from the University of Toronto in 2016. Further expanding his expertise, he obtained a Certificate in Privacy and Cybersecurity Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2022. His admission to the British Columbia bar in 2020 marks a significant milestone in his legal career, enabling him to bring his vast experience and passion for technology and growth to the legal landscape.
