Ellen Ferguson

Ellen, with her heart set on making a tangible difference in organizations, dives deep into the intricacies of workplace law. Her passion extends to supporting clients through the maze of labour and employment, alongside administrative law challenges. In 2020, she embraced the role of Associate at Harris & Company, a place where she previously honed her skills as a summer student and articled clerk.

Her legal journey took off after securing a J.D. from the University of British Columbia's Peter A. Allard School of Law in 2019. Ellen's commitment to community service shone brightly during her time in law school, particularly through her work at the Indigenous Community Legal Centre located in the heart of Vancouver's Downtown East Side. Here, she lent her expertise to both civil and criminal cases, even representing clients in Provincial Court. Her role as a research assistant also saw her exploring various facets of administrative law, further broadening her understanding and skills in the field.

Ellen's academic prowess didn't go unnoticed; she was the recipient of the Richard R. Sugden, QC prize for her excellence in Advanced Trial Advocacy and garnered the Lawson Lundell Prize in Administrative Law. These accolades not only underscore her dedication but also her keen legal acumen.
