Ethan Chang plays a pivotal role at Gowling WLG's Vancouver branch, weaving his expertise into the complex fabric of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, alongside a variety of general corporate affairs. His adeptness in navigating the intricate landscape of capital markets has benefitted both corporate issuers and underwriters, especially in the realm of public offerings. Ethan's acumen extends to guiding emerging growth companies through their development phases, addressing everything from corporate inception, structural and governance issues, to mergers and acquisitions.

His academic journey began with a finance degree from Western University, followed by a dual JD/MBA degree from the University of Windsor, where he also contributed as a teaching assistant within the Law and Business Schools.

Before his tenure at Gowling WLG, Ethan's career saw him entrenched in the bustling legal scene of New York at an international corporate law firm, coupled with a stint as a financial analyst at a leading Canadian financial institution.

Ethan's legal prowess is recognized in various practice areas, notably in mining, corporate law, capital markets, and mergers & acquisitions. His educational milestones are marked by his graduation from the University of Windsor, where he secured his JD and MBA (making the Dean's List), and from Western University, where he earned his BMOS with distinction. Ethan's professional credentials are solidified by his admission to the bar in British Columbia in 2020, following his 2018 admission in Ontario, highlighting a trajectory marked by dedication and excellence in the field of law.
