She then pursued a Bachelor of Laws at the University of British Columbia, graduating in 1993. The following year, she was called to the Bar in British Columbia.

Furthermore, Allyson has contributed significantly to the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia, both as an editor and author, enhancing the legal community's understanding of strata property law.
