Saul, who draws his roots from the Coast Salish and proudly belongs to the Squamish First Nation, brings a deep, personal connection to his work. His legal endeavors are aimed at fostering economic growth within these communities, reinforcing their rights, promoting environmental stewardship, and shaping robust policies and governance frameworks.

In his practice, Saul is deeply engaged in a variety of initiatives. He plays a pivotal role in facilitating Aboriginal business ventures through various means such as sales, partnerships, and strategic collaborations. Additionally, he is adept at managing financial arrangements for First Nations, individuals, and businesses, enhancing their economic viability. Saul's expertise extends to First Nations land development, where he oversees leasing, financing, and development structuring. He is also proficient in handling disputes and negotiations between Aboriginal groups and governmental entities, ensuring their interests are protected.

Saul's commitment to Indigenous rights and governance is evident through his work in consulting and accommodation, where he provides guidance, negotiates, and drafts policies and agreements. He is instrumental in formulating impact benefit agreements and advancing First Nations governance by developing self-government agreements, land codes, and other regulatory frameworks.

Before entering law, Saul honed his understanding of coastal environments with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from the University of Victoria. This knowledge is invaluable in his legal work, helping him to negotiate agreements that not only serve the interests of Indigenous communities but also safeguard the environment.
