Notable transactions include guiding a consortium through a $350 million purchase of Ridley Terminals Inc., aiding Evolution Mining Ltd. in its acquisition of the Red Lake Gold Complex for US$375 million, and orchestrating the sale of Spectra Energy's NGL business for $267 million.

Robin's financing expertise is equally impressive, with significant experience in advising on public and private offerings of equity and debt. This includes initial public offerings, secondary offerings, private placements, and venture financing. Highlights of his work include a $250 million bond financing for BC Ferries, a US$700 million note offering by Methanex Corporation, and a $172.5 million IPO for Pinnacle Renewable Energy.

Apart from his professional accomplishments, Robin is deeply invested in his community. He serves as a mentor and coordinating partner in the Martin Family Initiative and participates in firm-led mentorship programs. Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, he clerked for Justice Frank Iacobucci at the Supreme Court of Canada and was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York.

Robin's academic credentials include a BA from the University of British Columbia and an LLB from the University of Toronto. He is admitted to the bar in both New York and British Columbia.
