Evan Lay's roots are deeply embedded in British Columbia, where he was born and raised. His educational journey began at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, where he delved into the world of history, earning a Bachelor of Arts in the subject. His passion for understanding the past was just the beginning of a journey that would lead him into the realms of law and advocacy.

Evan then journeyed to Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, where he embraced the rigorous study of law, culminating in his Juris Doctor degree. It was here that Evan honed his skills in litigation, actively participating in various courtroom advocacy and trial practice courses, laying the groundwork for a career marked by persuasive courtroom presence and legal acumen.

During his time at Dalhousie, Evan's commitment to justice and community service shone through. Working with the Dalhousie Legal Aid Society, he dedicated himself to representing underserved clients in a range of legal matters including criminal defense, administrative law, and family law. His work led him to appear before various esteemed legal bodies, including the Nova Scotia Provincial Court, the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, and numerous administrative tribunals.

Evan's return to British Columbia marked a new chapter in his legal career. Joining Preszler Law, he commenced his articling, a period characterized by intense learning and professional growth. As an associate, Evan's focus has remained primarily on personal injury litigation. His expertise in this field has seen him successfully represent clients in the B.C.
