Mario Checchia

In the vibrant legal landscape of Vancouver, Mario embarked on a new chapter with Branch MacMaster as a litigation associate in October 2022. His journey in law prior to this transition saw him dedicating eight years to a premier litigation firm in the city, honing his skills and expertise. Mario's legal acumen spans a diverse range of areas including litigating class actions, navigating the complexities of insurance coverage, subrogation, and formulating defence strategies for healthcare professionals, businesses, and municipalities. His proficiency in law is matched by his ability to argue cases across all judicial levels in British Columbia.

Away from the courtroom, Mario's passions lie in music and sports; he skillfully plays the guitar and drums, and enjoys hitting the golf course.

Mario's academic foundation is as impressive as his professional one. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Thompson Rivers University in 2016, after earning an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, with distinction, from Brock University in 2011. This educational background has provided a solid base for his specialization in insurance, health law, and class actions, showcasing his versatility and depth of knowledge in the field.
