Avichay's expertise has led him to advocate across numerous judicial arenas—from local courts across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, to the esteemed Supreme Court of Canada—alongside his involvement with various administrative bodies.

Prior to his tenure at Branch MacMaster LLP, Avichay enriched his legal acumen as a judicial law clerk, assisting six justices at the Supreme Court of British Columbia. His commitment to justice and legal scholarship began well before his professional career, tracing back to his time in law school. Here, Avichay dedicated his efforts to international humanitarian and human rights law through his work with NGOs in both Israel and Canada. His passion for these fields was further evidenced during his time at McGill University's Faculty of Law, where he not only pursued his B.C.L./LL.B. but also engaged in significant volunteer work with the Center For Research-Action On Race Relations in Montreal, diving deep into human rights and Charter litigation in Quebec.

Avichay's academic journey was marked by notable achievements, including his graduation from McGill University in December 2015, where he was honored with the 2015 J.S.D. Tory Writing Award for his visionary essay on the future of legal education. This recognition spotlighted his proposal for a transdisciplinary approach within law faculties. Furthermore, Avichay's intellectual foundation was laid at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2011, setting the stage for his distinguished career in law and advocacy.
