With nearly five years of experience at the firm, her journey in law is characterized by a strong foundation in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defence and personal injury law. Before her current role, Iqra honed her legal skills as an articled student and then as a summer law student at Equity Law Group, where she was immersed in the practical aspects of legal work from May 2018 to May 2019 and during the summer of 2017, respectively.

Iqra's legal acumen is built on a robust educational background, having earned her Doctor of Law (JD) from Thompson Rivers University between 2015 and 2018, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from The University of British Columbia from 2010 to 2014. Her involvement in the Muslims Students Association during her undergraduate studies highlights her commitment to community and engagement in societal issues from early on.

Prior to her law career, Iqra contributed her skills as a researcher and due diligence researcher at IPSA International. There, from March 2015 to September 2015, and again in the summer of 2016, she delved into anti-money laundering, investigative due diligence, anti-bribery/corruption, and litigation support. Her work involved conducting enhanced due diligence, navigating through databases, analyzing international public records, identifying risks, and preparing detailed reports. This experience provided her with a keen insight into the complexities of international risk assessment and legal compliance.

Outside of her professional obligations, Iqra actively engages with the legal community and beyond. She has been a part of significant events such as the CMLA National Legal Conference 2023, inviting peers to join her in October for both the conference and the subsequent in-person social event for the BC Chapter.
