Patrick Julian

In his role as the leading partner for the Commercial Real Estate & Development division, Patrick stands out for his depth of knowledge and remarkable achievements. Patrick dedicates his expertise to serving a diverse clientele, including commercial developers, property owners, leasing parties, and intermediaries. His legal practice spans a broad spectrum of commercial property law areas. These encompass assembling lands, creating subdivisions, devising bare land strata layouts, and managing developments across various sectors such as office spaces, retail environments, institutional buildings, hotels and resorts, industrial sites, recreational areas, and residential properties.

Patrick's responsibilities also cover the entire lifecycle of real estate dealings. This includes negotiating purchases and sales, overseeing commercial and industrial leases, and arranging financing. Moreover, he is adept at formulating ownership structures and transaction strategies. In collaboration with his team and clients, Patrick ensures the guidance provided is pertinent, impactful, and delivered without delay.

To stay abreast of the latest developments in the industry, Patrick actively participates in gatherings and symposiums organized by notable entities like NAIOP, UDI, and ICSC. His expertise was further acknowledged in 2019 when he was selected to participate in the Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute.

Patrick's legal career in commercial real estate and development has been recognized since his admission to the British Columbia Bar in 1979. His foundational knowledge in law was cultivated at the University of British Columbia, where he earned his LLB in 1978.
