Naeem Bardai

Hailing from Port Moody, Naeem's journey began in the vibrant landscapes of the Lower Mainland, where he spent his childhood and adolescence. His academic pursuit took him far from home, to the prestigious halls of Oxford University in England, where he secured a law degree. The quest for knowledge didn't end there; Naeem returned to Vancouver, where he furthered his education with a Masters of Law from the University of British Columbia. His transition into the professional world was marked by his articling at a renowned national law firm, culminating in his admission to the British Columbia bar in 2019.

Before embarking on his legal career, Naeem's life was steeped in athletics. His sporting endeavors took him across North America, where he excelled in junior hockey, and even further afield to Australia and England, where he showcased his cricketing talents. At Oxford, his athletic prowess was undeniable, leading him to captain the university's cricket and hockey teams, a rare achievement. Naeem's sports career also included representing Uganda's national cricket team, a testament to his dual citizenship and versatile athletic skills.

Naeem's professional ethos is rooted in the trust and advocacy he provides to his clients. His practice spans a broad spectrum, with particular expertise in real estate, commercial law, and wills and estates. As the co-leader of the real estate practice group at Lakes, Whyte, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role.

Beyond his professional commitments, Naeem remains deeply connected to his athletic roots. He coaches hockey at the North Shore Winter Club and St. George’s, nurturing the next generation of athletes. His weekends are often spent either watching cricket at Norgate Park or enjoying a round of golf at Northlands, reflecting his enduring passion for sports.

Naeem's legal practice is diverse, encompassing real estate disputes, construction litigation, and builders' liens, alongside business disputes, municipal law disputes, and administrative tribunals. His expertise also extends to wills, estates, and trusts, where he handles estate disputes with sensitivity and acumen.
