Brittney Dumanowski

Brittney, now an associate at Owen Bird, began her legal journey with the firm as both an articler and a summer intern, solidifying her place in the legal field by 2020. Her legal prowess spans various litigation areas, showcasing her expertise across all court levels in British Columbia, a testament to her dedication and skill. Her academic path led her from a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Honours from the University of Calgary in 2012 to achieving her Juris Doctor at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in 2019. During her time at TRU, Brittney emerged as a pivotal figure, engaging actively with the TRU Society of Law Students. Her leadership qualities shone brightly as she represented her class in her first year and played a crucial role as a volunteer coordinator for the society's annual conference. Her commitment to legal practice extended beyond the classroom as she contributed her skills as a student clinician at the TRU Community Legal Clinic in Kamloops, BC. Her dedication to fostering future legal minds continues as she volunteers as a supervising lawyer for the Pro Bono Students Canada TRU chapter.
