Having embarked on his journey with Blakes as a summer student back in 2019, Jeremy swiftly transitioned to a more permanent role, completing his articles by 2021. His trajectory within the firm is marked by his involvement in a series of high-profile cases. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the transaction where R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company divested the majority of its Canadian operations to DATA Communications Management Corp., a deal that closed at around C$131-million. His acumen was also pivotal in JX Nippon Mining & Metals Corporation's strategic acquisition of eCycle Solutions Inc.

Jeremy's expertise also extends to the dynamic world of start-ups and venture capital, as evidenced by his contribution to Summit Nanotech Corporation's significant Series A2 and Series A financings, totaling US$64 million. His legal prowess facilitated BD Engine Brake's successful sale to Burnout Brands, a venture under the aegis of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners.

In the biotech arena, Alpha-9 Theranostics Inc. benefited from his guidance during its US$75-million Series B financing, showcasing his versatility across different sectors. Further, he was instrumental in Axonify Inc.'s strategic acquisition of Nudge Technologies Corporation, and similarly, Luminate Capital Partners leaned on his advice for acquiring and later partially divesting Axonify Inc., alongside engaging in high-stake transactions with Warburg Pincus and ICONIQ Capital.

His work with HP in acquiring Teradici Corporation, Tasktop Technologies Incorporated's US$100-million financing round, and TricorBraun's acquisition spree, including Roda Packaging, underscores his adaptability and breadth of expertise. Additionally, Canstar Restorations' expansion through acquisitions, under Jeremy's legal guidance, highlights his capacity to support growth strategies across various industries.

Jeremy's academic foundation in law from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, coupled with a BSc from the University of Victoria, has equipped him with a robust framework to navigate the complexities of corporate and commercial law.
