Alex, a vital member of Boughton Law's Securities and Corporate law teams, excels in advising on a myriad of commercial activities. His role encompasses the creation and negotiation of various transactional documents and agreements, alongside in-depth legal research and due diligence. Alex's expertise extends to advising on corporate governance, compliance, and engaging with stakeholders and local counsel efficiently. His extensive involvement in private placements, corporate restructuring, and mergers, along with guiding go-public initiatives like IPOs, RTOs, and QTs, underscores his capability in navigating regulatory compliance with ease. His knack for offering actionable, practical advice, coupled with a strong emphasis on teamwork and clear communication, ensures a seamless process for all involved. Alex's dedication to delivering top-notch legal services and fostering enduring client relationships is evident in his adept handling of intricate legal issues and adapting to regulatory changes.

Hailing from the Sahtúgot’ı̨nę Dene of the Délı̨nę First Nation in the Northwest Territories, Alex brings a unique perspective to his practice. His academic journey led him to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Economics from the University of Alberta, followed by a Juris Doctor with a focus on Business Law from the University of British Columbia's Peter A. Allard School of Law in 2020. Before his tenure at Boughton Law, Alex's varied roles as an automotive technician and a fire clerk with GNWT Wildfire Operations provided him with a broad skill set. His initial involvement with Boughton Law as a summer student, followed by his return to complete his articles, showcases his dedication to his career in law.

In addition to his legal practice, Alex actively participates in the legal community as a member of both the Canadian Bar Association – British Columbia Branch (CBABC) and the Vancouver Bar Association (VBA), reflecting his commitment to his profession.

Specializing in business and securities law, Alex was called to the bar in 2021 after completing his education at the University of British Columbia in 2020 and the University of Alberta in 2016. His educational background and diverse work experience have equipped him with a profound understanding of the legal landscape, enabling him to contribute significantly to Boughton Law and the clients he serves.
