Lauren Morris

Within the bustling corridors of Boughton Law's litigation sector, Lauren emerges as an associate with a burgeoning expertise in civil litigation, weaving a tapestry of legal acumen across a variety of cases. Her journey into law first saw her honing her skills at a boutique firm nestled in the heart of Vancouver. There, she adeptly navigated the complexities of representing clients before both Supreme and Provincial courts, delving into the intricacies of family law, wills, estates, and a broad spectrum of civil litigation matters.

Lauren's academic path was equally distinguished. Her intellectual pursuits led her to McGill University, where she embraced the dual disciplines of Philosophy and Political Science, achieving distinction upon her graduation in 2017. Her quest for knowledge took her across the seas to France, where she studied at l’Université Jean Moulin Lyon III, further enriching her academic and cultural horizons.

The culmination of her studies occurred at the University of British Columbia's Peter A. Allard School of Law, where she was conferred her Juris Doctor in 2020. Lauren's time in law school was marked by notable achievements, including receiving the Factum Prize and the Spirit of the Laskin Award for her exceptional performance at the Laskin Moot. Furthermore, her commitment to social justice was evident through her dedicated service at the Rise Women’s Legal Clinic, where she offered legal aid to those least able to afford it.

In addition to her legal and academic endeavors, Lauren boasts fluency in French, augmenting her ability to serve a broader client base.

Her legal practice now encompasses commercial litigation, reflecting her versatile and comprehensive legal education and experience. Since being called to the bar in 2021, Lauren's trajectory in the legal profession continues to ascend, marked by her commitment to a diverse civil litigation practice.
