Alexa Benzinger is a key member of the legal team at Alexander Holburn, serving as an Associate in their Insurance Practice Group.
Her professional expertise centers around litigation, particularly in the realm of insurance defense. This includes handling cases related to occupiers' liability, personal injury, and professional negligence. Alexa has demonstrated her legal acumen in various courts, including the Supreme Court and the Provincial Court of British Columbia.
Before ascending to her current role, Alexa honed her legal skills at Alexander Holburn through a comprehensive articling program. Her academic journey in law was marked by notable leadership and community engagement. She held the presidency of the Criminal Law Club at her law school, actively contributed to Pro Bono Students Canada, and played a significant role in organizing the annual Indigenous Perspectives Camp.
Alexa's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, supplemented with a minor in Women’s Studies. Her pre-law career involved impactful work at a shelter for the homeless.
Away from her professional duties, Alexa finds joy in spending time with her beloved Bernese Mountain dog, Timber. She also has a passion for cross stitching and continuously works on refining her culinary skills.
