Before venturing into the legal domain, Barbara earned a Bachelor of Rehabilitation Medicine, now equivalent to a Master’s Degree, from the prestigious University of British Columbia. This academic journey led her to become a certified Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist. Her career in physiotherapy is marked by significant roles, including the Head of Physiotherapy at the renowned British Columbia Children’s Hospital and overseeing various programs.

Barbara’s expertise extends to areas like orthopedics and neurology, where she has dealt with complex issues such as brain injuries, connective tissue diseases, and metabolic disorders. Her commitment to education saw her imparting knowledge at the University of British Columbia School of Rehabilitation Medicine and contributing to the Nursing Degree Program.
